La Thuile |
| Ski4Real’s winter base, La Thuile, lies under the watchful eye of Mont Blanc at the head of Italy’s Aosta Valley. As part of the Piccolo San Bernardo ski area, La Thuile links with La Rosière in France creating an extensive multi-cultural ski region with ample opportunity to explore further. La Thuile also offers ski passes taking in Courmayeur, Pila and Cervinia all a short distance away. The start, from Punta Helbroner, of the unforgettable 12km-long Valley Blanche descent down to Chamonix is within a short bus ride. Little known outside Italy, La Thuile remains uncrowded and offers wide well groomed pistes. |

 |
|
| |
| The unspoilt nature of La Thuile means that it retains some of its distinct character and excels on local produce. The heli-skiing is very reasonably priced allowing for further access to the off-piste. |

Accommodation |

|
La Thuile has accommodation to suit all from self-catering apartments and hotels to picturesque and welcoming chalets such as Chalet Alpina, Ski4Real’s choice. Chalet Alpina is at the epicenter of the telemark world in La Thuile. Debbie and Eddy are both avid Telemarkers as well as hosting this cosy family run 3 star hotel in a tranquil location only 5 minutes walk from the lift station. The bedrooms are well equipped; there is a relaxing lounge area with TV and self-service bar. Rooms are mainly twin or double.

Other Ski4Real Resorts |
Chamonix |
Chamonix – the unofficial capital of the Alps – needs no introduction. Chamonix is a vibrant town based below Mont Blanc amidst its majestic scenery. The world’s centre for renowned off piste skiing . . . . . Why not just type Chamonix into any search engine.
Ski4Real use Chamonix, on the far end of the Valley Blanche, as an alternative to La Thuile. The skiing around Chamonix is some of the best in the Alps and best for intermediates and advanced skiers and those who venture regularly off-piste.
Chamonix’s international ambience is in stark contrast to the quiet tradition of La Thuile and its restaurants and bars stay lively into the wee hours.
Ski4Real’s preferred place to stay is the Hotel La Chaumiere, a traditional Savoyard mountain hotel. Owned by Mario and Maria, true mountain aficionados, who create a fantastic atmosphere with great hospitality. Mario is a mountain guide with more off piste experience than is thought possible, he makes any conditions look like he is doing the waltz! Great bars and family restaurants. Transfers from Geneva.
